OsteoCentric Technologies entered into a private label agreement with Altus Spine to help propel its OsteoCentric Spine subsidiary into the pedicle screw fixation space.
The agreement will allow OsteoCentric to coordinate its Mechanical Integration platform, UnifiMI, with an existing FDA-cleared system. The company plans to enter the spinal fusion market in 2Q22, introducing its minimally invasive method of instantly securing pedicle fastener implants to bone.
UnifiMI Mechanical Integration offers a less invasive method to instantly secure an implant to bone using proprietary interlocking thread geometry.
This new UnifiMI product launch follows the company’s acquisition of the Integrity-SI Fusion System from Lincotek/Mayo Clinic in 2021.
