OsteoCentric Technologies acquired the Integrity-SI Fusion System from Lincotek Medical. The system’s implants and instruments, designed in collaboration with Mayo Clinic, incorporate the principles of fusion. OsteoCentric will apply UnifiMI (Mechanical Integration) — their proprietary, less-invasive method of securing implants to bone — to optimize the stability of the Integrity-SI implant.
The percutaneous system facilitates the application of bone graft following the robust decortication of the fusion site.
“By combining the system with UnifiMI, we expect it to provide significant expansion to both the orthopedic trauma and spine markets. Strategically, this will be the first of several new UnifiMI product offerings to address the needs of surgeons,” said Andrew Fauth, Chief Technology Officer for OsteoCentric Technologies.
