DeGen Medical marked the first implantation of the Solar AM anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) device.
Solar AM is the latest addition to the DeGen Medical PuriTi portfolio, providing implants and instrumentation for ALIF procedures. Solar AM comes in a variety of sizes and lordotic options to accommodate patient anatomy.
Highlights of the Solar AM technology include:
Reduction of Imaging Artifact: PuriTI material creates what is reported to be the first 3D-printed titanium device featuring a different metallurgy composition from the industry. This composition allows for enhanced visualization and reduced artifact in imaging studies.
Proprietary Manufacturing Process: No cutting oils or material transfer are employed throughout the entire manufacturing and post-processing steps. This is in conjunction with the PuriTi proprietary material.
