Zimmer Biomet (ZBH) commenced U.S. launch of the Avenue® T TLIF Cage, featuring self-guided, curved VerteBRIDGE® plating for zero-profile, intradiscal fixation with a minimally invasive surgical approach.
The system was acquired by ZBH with its 2016 purchase of LDR, and is reported to be the first and only posteriorly-implanted cage with integrated anti-migration fixation. The VerteBRIDGE plates are packaged sterile and pre-assembled on a PEEK delivery cartridge that allows for fewer implantation steps. Anterior column fixation lets the surgeon choose from numerous options for supplemental fixation.
