WishBone Medical launched the AlloMate Bone Pin system for the maintenance of alignment and fixation of bone fractures, osteotomies, arthrodesis or bone grafts. The allograft-based devices obviate the need for a second surgery to remove a metal implant.
The single-used, sterile-packed kits may also be used to fill a void left after bone screw removal. The complete system is available in five sizes, which will be launched in stages, beginning with the 3.0mm version.
