Results from a study of AMNIOX Medical’s proprietary cryopreserved Amniotic Membrane as an adjunct to lumbar discectomy indicate improved outcomes in disability scores at 6 weeks and 2 years.
The prospective, randomized study included 80 patients, with half of the patients receiving CLARIX 100 in the disc space following removal of the disc herniation and half receiving the standard of care, including removal of the herniation alone. The study also showed no recurrent herniations in the CLARIX group at 2-year follow-up vs. 7.5% recurrence in the control group.
