Smith & Nephew Unveils REDAPT Revision 3D-Printed Titanium Hip

By Julie A. Vetalice

Smith & Nephew will debut the REDAPT™ Revision Acetabular Fully Porous Cup with CONCELOC™ Technology, its first 3D-printed titanium hip implant, at AAOS 2016.

CONCELOC technology is offered as an alternative to external porous coatings, such as sintered beads or fiber mesh used in other uncemented implants, to support bone ingrowth.

Smith & Nephew received FDA 510(k) clearance for the REDAPT Revision Acetabular Fully Porous Cup in 4Q15. It is available on a limited basis in the U.S.
