SeaSpine commenced limited commercial launch of its 3D-printed WaveForm™ TA (TLIF Articulating) interbody implant, SeaSpine’s first 3D-printed lumbar interbody.
This follow's last year's launch of the WaveForm C interbody implant, designed to be used in anterior cervical discectomy fusion. SeaSpine will launch three additional 3D-printed interbody systems by mid-2021.
The implant's 3D-printed architecture uses WaveForm technology to deliver a highly porous interbody solution, with 65% porous endplates and 75% porous architecture within the body of the implant.
WaveForm TA is designed for use in transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion. The system includes multiple footprints and lordotic options, allowing surgeons to intraoperatively address specific anatomical needs. The 3D-printed devices use the same instrumentation as the Reef™ TA Interbody System that SeaSpine launched in 2020.
