Safe Orthopaedics received approval under the CE Mark for a next-generation Oak pedicle screw for the treatment of thoracic vertebral fractures. The new 4.5mm version joins 7.5 mm, 6.5 mm and 5.5 mm diameters.
Oak is reported to be the only pedicle screw that offers simultaneous correction and fixation of trauma-related vertebral fractures. It’s compatible with conventional open approaches and with the company’s SteriSpine modular kits. Combined with the company’s sterile single-use instruments, Oak screws are prepared for immediate use.
