Fifty percent of the patients have been recruited to a prospective study of Episurf Medical’s Episealer Talus® implant in Italy.
The study will follow 15 patients who received an Episealer Talus implant as treatment for osteochondral defects in the ankle. Episealer Talus is Episurf Medical’s CE-Marked implant technology, intended for the treatment of osteochondral ankle lesions.
Further, the first surgery in Norway with Episealer Talus has been scheduled. It follows availability of the Episealer Knee in the region.
“We are now offering the Episealer® Talus technology to our Norwegian customers, and we are pleased with having the first surgery in Norway scheduled. Episurf’s Episealer implants for the knee joint have been used in Norway for some time,” said Pål Ryfors, CEO of Episurf Medical.
