NuVasive commenced U.S. launch of Brigade® Lateral interbody implants and instrumentation for lateral anterior lumbar interbody fusion.
The proprietary Lateral ALIF™ procedure allows access to the L5-S1 region from a lateral position. With Brigade, the threaded in-line inserter is angled off the midline and positioned on the implant’s lateral edge for better access; a range of lordotic implant options allows surgeons to customize lordosis to the patient.
NuVasive’s lateral single-position surgery platform is intended to reduce the need for patient repositioning, which may result in less time under anesthesia.
