Zimmer Biomet announced that its Mobi-C® Cervical Disc Prosthesis is now the most widely-covered device for 1- and 2-level cervical disc replacement by U.S. commercial health insurers.
Mobi-C, acquired by ZBH with LDR in 3Q16, is now accessible to >200 million insured patients with 1-level disc disease and >150 million patients with 2-level disc disease across >90 commercial insurance plans. The milestone was acheived with Anthem’s addition of Mobi-C to its list of covered devices. Anthem reports ~40 million health plan enrollees.
