Follwing receipt of regulatory clearances from FDA and the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration, Medacta is introducing the Mecta®Lock PEEK Suture Anchor and the Mecta®Screw PEEK Interference Screw in these regions.
The MectaLock PEEK anchor is used in acetabular and glenoid labral repairs. The MectaScrew PEEK Interference Screw is indicated for reconstruction of ruptured anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments with autograft and allografts. MectaScrew and the M-ARS ACL (Medacta Anatomic Ribbon Surgery), which received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2018, is intended for use in knee arthroscopy.
