Materialise introduced the TRUMATCH® Personalized Solutions Shoulder system, to be distributed by DePuy Synthes in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
TRUMATCH addresses Reverse and Anatomic Total Shoulder Arthroplasty, offering an all-in-one, web-based planning platform as well as the ability to order patient-specific 3D printed surgical guides, if desired.
The system is intended to address challenges of limited visibility, depth of the glenoid cavity in the surgical window and the lack of reliable landmarks. An ability to use 3D virtual pre-op planning lets the surgeon know what to expect beforehand.
If conventional instruments or standard cutting guides are deemed less appropriate due to glenoid deformity, TRUMATCH can be used to order patient-specific 3D printed shoulder guides right there within the platform.
Materialise Mimics launched in 1Q16 to support 3D printing within hospitals. The suite includes planning and design software, 3D-printed anatomical models and surgical guides, and patient-specific implants.
