
Life Spine announced FDA 510(k) clearance for the ARx SAI (Sacral Alar Iliac) Spinal Fixation System. ARx SAI has expanded its compatibility clearance, and is now approved for use with compatible pedicle screws with 5.5mm or 6.0mm posterior rods made from either titanium alloys or cobalt chrome, including those from competitor systems.
Initial clearance for the system was granted in 2024.
Features and benefits of the fixation system include:
- Self-drilling screws eliminate surgical steps to increase efficiency and save time
- Self-harvesting design packs bone into fenestrations upon insertion
- Low-profile Cobalt Chrome tulip head for greater strength
- Universal T25 hexalobe drive features for ease of use and simplicity
- Compatible with 5.5mm or 6.0mm Titanium and Cobalt Chrome Rods
