Study results indicate that Implanet’s JAZZ sublaminar bands offered a safe, efficient alternative to traditional techniques (e.g., screws) at up to 34 months in the treatment of complex hypokyphotic thoracic scoliosis.
The study followed a 35 patient consecutive series for an average of 34 months. Implanet had commenced U.S. patient enrollment in a multi-center clinical protocol investigating use of the JAZZ Band device in instrumented thoracic and lumbar arthrodesis, in mid-2015; in the following quarter, it received FDA 510(k) clearance for use of the platform with posterior thoraco-lumbar fixation systems outside of the company’s own devices.
