iOrthopedics, Inc., a Nevada corporation dedicated to implementing new healing orthopedic pathways, added another application to its growing international patent portfolio, strengthening its spinal arthrodesis IP estate.
U.S. Patent Application No. 15/948982 is directed to the Universally Expanding Cage (UEC), an expandable spine cage with proximally configured actuators being coaxially accommodated by the cage and independently operable, to cause expansion and contraction of the implant ends. These features allow ease of implantation and repair, maximally adjusting spinal deformity.
Earlier this month, the company was awarded U.S. Patent No. 9,861,494 for the UEC, which was the company’s third IP validation of design and method treatment for spine patient care.
