Hive™ Soft Titanium®, used in HIVE spinal interbody devices, combines 3D-printed titanium with a proprietary NanoHive® surface treatment. The structural lattice offers implant stiffness control and durability. Over 2,500 HIVE interbodies have been implanted since the company formed in 2017.
Hive technology with NanoHive surfacing also provides ideal elastic modulus, diagnostic imaging and osteogenic properties.
HIVE devices received initial FDA 510(k) clearance in 2017. More recently, the company gained 510(k) clearance for the Hive ALIF Standalone Lumbar Interbody Fusion System.
“HD started with the goal of creating the ideal structural lattice for orthopedic and spine applications,” says David Rattigan, Vice President of Sales. “We are very proud of reaching this milestone. Surgeons understand the progression of spinal implant materials, and we believe Hive™ implants are at the forefront of spinal fusion technology.”
