Globus Medical (GMED) launched ELSA® AL and ELSA®-ATP lateral expandable interbody spacers with integrated screw fixation.
ELSA AL represents an alternative to GMED's RISE®-L, which launched in 2015, for cases in which maximum segmental lordosis is indicated. Used with the anterior longitudinal ligament release technique, ELSA AL can reportedly provide the greatest segmental lordosis of any device on the market.
ELSA-ATP employs an anterior-to-psoas approach to avoid nerve complications associated with the direct lateral technique.
GMED is an established leader in expandable interbody spacers, with over 20 designs backed by 15 years of clinical experience.
