FzioMed enrolled the 50th of 150 patients in a clinical study of Oxiplex® absorbable, synthetic viscoelastic gel. Oxiplex is applied after partial discectomy to reduce post-op leg and back pain and neurologic symptoms.
The 20-site trial was announced in late 2017 and commenced in 2Q18, and full enrollment/study results are expected by early 2020. The small confirmatory study is examining effectiveness and safety in reducing pain and symptoms after lumbar surgery.
