
Episurf Medical appointed In2Bones as its distributor in France for an implant technology for the ankle.
Earlier this year, Episurf received CE Mark approval for the Episealer® Talus and Talus Osteotomy Guide. The resurfacing implant is intended to treat osteochondral lesions of the talar dome in the ankle joint.
Talus implants are based on the same technology platform as Episealer knee devices, with an individualized design based on medical imaging and 3D modulation.
In2Bones is headquartered in the U.S., but has a strong focus on the French market. Witihin 2020, Episurf announced that the company’s knee and ankle implants, Episealer® Knee and Episealer® Talus, were registered and approved for sale in France. The first Episealer surgery in France was also scheduled.
