In the first dozen live-patient lumbar spinal fusion cases performed with the new KG2 Surge flow-thru interbody system, Kleiner Device Labs found that surgeons were able to deliver an average of 12cc of bone graft into the prepared disc spaces.

Axial and coronal CT images from procedures.
The axial and coronal CT images above show disc space fill surrounding and incorporating the implant with cortical-cancellous bone in a recent case. The KG2 Surge’s pre-assembled cannula/implant is designed to maximize graft delivery, while making the process of interbody grafting dramatically easier and performed as a single surgical pass.
The first case with the system was performed in August 2022.
