DePuy Synthes Spine launched the KICK® portable spine imaging system with FluoroExpress Software Module, designed to provide access to affordable advanced imaging technology with real-time navigation for pedicle screw placement. KICK is the product of partnership with Brainlab.
Using a small, portable infrared camera with a computer and monitor, the system moves easily between operating rooms and works with existing X-ray equipment to support surgical workflow. The monitor displays up to four different X-ray images at one time to make X-ray equipment repositioning to capture different views unnecessary.
KICK is compatible with VIPER® and EXPEDIUM® implants.
The Kick 2D Navigation system was one of seven spine products shown in the product pipeline chart during JNJ’s May 2016 Business Review Day.
The AO Foundation’s technical commission approved the use of KICK in AO education courses.
