DePuy Synthes Spine launched SYNFIX® Evolution for standalone Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF).
Multiple studies of SYNFIX Implant technology indicate superior biomechanical stability vs. other standalone ALIF implants, with equivalent biomechanical stability relative to lumbar fusion performed through the back.
The system comprises a PEEK spacer plus titanium zero-profile plate and four divergent locking screws, with a thread lock sleeve to capture the screw to the screwdriver, preventing the screw from disengaging during surgery.
