DePuy Synthes launched the SYMPHONY Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic (OCT) system, including a differentiated offering of instruments and implants designed to stabilize the spine in patients undergoing posterior cervical fusion.
SYMPHONY is designed to improve in four key areas of fixation (such as in patients with suboptimal bone quality), alignment, targeting and extensions, and is compatible with navigation software when targeting in challenging anatomy.
By enabling the crossing of the cervical to the thoracic junction with one system, SYMPHONY reduces the number of instrument trays from six to two to yield cost savings in processing and sterilization and is one of the first posterior cervical systems to offer an option of sterile packed implants.
SYMPHONY OCT combines the benefits of the SYNAPSE OCT and MOUNTAINEER OCT systems, building on their proven instrumentation.
