DePuy Synthes commenced U.S. launch of PROTI 360°, interbody fusion devices featuring titanium-integrated PEEK with 360 degrees of titanium integration.
The line includes ACIS PROTI 360° for cervical fusion and T-PAL PROTI 360° and CONCORDE PROTI 360° for lumbar interbody fusion. The systems are compatible with ACIS, T-PAL and CONCORDE instrument sets.
Data from a podium presentation at the International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery Meeting showed that calcium deposition, an indicator of early bone formation, was 470.4% higher with the PROTI 360° than PEEK alone and 305.1% higher than titanium at one day after device testing.
