DePuy Synthes commenced U.S. launch of a Femoral Recon Nail to treat long thigh bone fractures.
The design offers surgical entry point and locking options to accommodate varying preferences, as well as radiolucent insertion handles intended to reduce surgical complexity, improve intraoperative and x-ray visualization and assist with guide wire placement.
Further, the nail is also designed to address distal cortical impingement, which may result when the curve of the patient’s femoral anatomy is greater than the curve of the nail.
