CoreLink introduced Scaltoff™, a stackable guide wire for the Entasis® Sacroiliac Joint Fusion system.
The ability to adjust the rigid, stainless steel wire lengths increases the level of control during drilling, tapping and insertion steps, which reduces the risk of nerve root damage, and the wire is easily shortened to accommodate the C-arm in lateral view x-ray.
Since U.S. launch in 2Q16, the Entasis system has been used in more than 500 procedures. It’s reported to be the only sacroiliac joint fusion system that self-harvests bone graft while simultaneously compressing the joint. In case of misplacement, the implant includes an Easy-Out™ interface and tools to quickly explant.
