Amendia commenced commercial launch of Ceres™-C, a low-profile standalone PEEK cervical interbody spacer designed for use in anterior cervical interbody fusion.
Ceres-C combines PEEK with a titanium plate and screws, and employs a cam locking mechanism to minimize steps and save OR time.
This is the third launch announced by Amendia within 2016, following the inCORPorate PEEK Vertebral Body Replacement and the OmegaLIF™ Expandable Interbody Cage.
Amendia plans to launch a range of cervical plates later in June. The company’s growth initiatives are buoyed by its majority ownership acquisition by Kohlberg & Company, a private equity firm.
