Agent Medical launched ArthroBridge™, an implant for the treatment of hammertoes, and the ArthroMate™ rasp designed for rear foot fusion procedures.
The ArthroBridge titanium cannulated compression screw is accompanied by a sterile, single-use instrument kit with multi-purpose instruments. The device received FDA 510(k) clearance in 4Q14 and can be used for primary and revision hammertoe surgeries, as well as fracture fixation in the hands and feet.
Per company leadership, ArthroBridge differs from competitive designs that must be coupled together at the same time that bone surfaces compress. Further, other designs rely on an impaction of bones onto a design that may not provide a dynamic compressive environment.
The ArthroMate rasp may be used on any joint in the foot during fusion, and also has application in the hand, hip, knee and shoulder.
