CarboFix Spine introduced the CarboClear Hybrid MIS Pedicle Screw System, expanding the capabilities of its established Hybrid platform into minimally invasive spine (MIS) procedures.
Designed to complement the CarboClear Hybrid Pedicle Screw System, the new MIS design delivers enhanced surgical efficiency while maintaining the imaging and clinical advantages of carbon fiber-reinforced technology.
CarboClear Hybrid MIS is cleared for use in oncology and degenerative indications, and incorporates a carbon fiber-reinforced PEEK (CFRP) screw shank with a titanium tulip, providing the added benefit of imaging—critical for intra- and postoperative imaging, radiation planning, and radiation treatment.
Key Features and Benefits:
- Minimally Invasive Design with Break-off Reduction Tabs: Streamlines MIS workflows, enabling controlled reduction and simplified rod insertion
- Dual-Lead Thread Technology: Enhances insertion efficiency and improves purchase in varying bone qualities
- System Compatibility: Fully compatible with existing CarboClear carbon fiber rods, allowing integration into current surgical workflows without additional instrumentation burden
“The launch of our MIS pedicle screw system represents a natural evolution of the CarboClear Hybrid platform,” said John Miller, US VP Sales & Marketing at CarboFix Spine. “Surgeons can now leverage the benefits of carbon fiber technology in minimally invasive approaches—without sacrificing efficiency, versatility, or compatibility with our existing carbon fiber systems.”
