CoNextions enrolled two of an anticipated 80 patients in a multicenter, blinded, randomized clinical trial comparing the CoNextions TR™ system to standard of care suture repair to treat Zone 2 tendon lacerations. Patients will be enrolled at four different centers in South Africa.
The company debuted its technology at the 2015 meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, as an alternative to sutures for surgical repair in digital flexor and extensor tendons. CoNextions is pursuing an FDA 510(k) submission in 2019.
