Updates include 5.0 diameter rods and advancements in internal rod mechanisms, notably a reinforced locking pin and an actuator seal designed to contain and reduce the release of titanium wear debris.
When paired with Reline® Small Stature, MAGEC X may provide increased construct strength without sacrificing the optimal profile for scoliosis patients. That system received FDA 510(k) clearance in 3Q17. RELINE Small Stature is the only small stature system that is compatible with the new 5.0MM MAGEC rod.
