Spine Innovation announced first implantations of its Expandable TLIF device.
The implant is inserted on its side to minimize the risk of neural injury, and is rotated 90° to restore disc height up to 16mm and lordosis up to 15°. The implant is then expanded 10mm laterally to up to 22mm wide, including a 10mm x 26mm graft area.
The device, cleared by FDA in January 2016, was featured in ORTHOKNOW® among ten spine companies that received their first orthopaedic-related 510(k) clearance within 1H16.
