LifeNet Health and Arthrex signed a new long-term agreement to provide allograft implants and instrumentation to surgeons.
In over ten years of collaboration, the LifeNet/Arthrex partnership has led to the development of superior capsular reconstruction for massive rotator cuff tears, combining LifeNet’s ArthroFlex acellular dermal matrix with Arthrex’s surgical instruments and techniques to offer an alternative to shoulder arthroplasty. The technique has been used in >2,000 patients since late 2014.
The companies plan to explore new applications, such as opportunities in cartilage repair.
