SpineGuard entered into a 2nd co-development agreement in 1Q15—with Zavation, for integration of DSG into its pedicle screws. That represented SpineGuard’s 1st partnership with a U.S.-based spine company.
As claimed in an EU patent, in SpineGuard’s “smart screw” concept, the sensor is embedded at the tip of the screw with the electronic component located in the screwdriver handle.
