FH Ortho announced first successful implantations of the EASYMOVE™ Total Ankle prosthesis.
The device is a two-component implant intended to support optimal alignment by preserving bone. It features a 3D curved tibial component and a talar component that requires minimal bony resection.
Further, its instrumentation is engineered to reduce operating time and X-ray exposure during surgery.
Jean-Marc Idier, President of FH Ortho, said, “Immediate post-operative X-rays present a perfect positioning of the implants and natural kinematics never seen before on any other device.”
FH Ortho’s products are sold in over 37 countries, with offerings for joint reconstruction, ligament repair, biologics, foot & ankle, spine and trauma surgery. Within 3Q19, the company entered into a partnership with Red One Medical to ensure awareness and availability of FH Ortho’s orthopedic devices to active military service members, and also regulatory approval to market the Arrow® Prime Anatomic Shoulder in Japan to treat complex fractured shoulder reconstructions and total joint replacements resulting from wear or trauma.
