Episurf Medical received a Notice of Allowance from the Korean Intellectual Property Office, affirming the company’s first patent approval in Korea. The patent, “System and method for creating a decision support material indicating damage to an anatomical joint,” covers Episurf Medical’s 3D-based damage marking technology, a central part of the Episealer® implant system as well as the Epioscopy® joint visualization system.
“This is a core patent for Episurf’s imaging technology. We are working towards being able to launch our products in certain Asian markets and maintaining a strong IP portfolio in relevant regions is an important part of that strategy,” said Katarina Flodström, COO.
