Episurf Medical confirmed the planning of the first Episealer® surgery in Italy. The company is working with its regional distributor, 4Medicals SRL, on marketing activities for the Episealer Knee and Episealer Talus implants. The knee device was registered and approved for sale and distribution in Italy in 2019, followed by the talus in early 2020.
“During January and February 2020, we sold more Episealer implants than we ever have done during a full quarter before. Although the growth is driven by increased usage among existing customers, which is natural early on in our commercialization, we very much appreciate adding new countries,” said Pål Ryfors, CEO.
