4WEB Medical announced milestones for its Lateral Spine Truss system, with a 73% YOY increase in surgeon users and year-to-date 2018 double-digit growth in revenue, cases and units sold vs. the prior period. The company will launch its Total Lateral Solution later this month.
Last October, studies indicated that 4WEB’s Lateral Spine Truss demonstrated a better resistance to subsidence vs. an annular interbody implant. Its 3D-printed bi-convex dome design is intended to distribute load across the surface area and maximize endplate contact.
4WEB’s spine truss devices also include cervical, anterior and posterior designs. The lateral version debuted with first U.S. surgeries in early 3Q17.
Along with spine, the company’s portfolio includes devices for foot/ankle procedures. Knee, hip, trauma and patient-specific designsare in development.
