Zavation Medical Launches LABYRINTH Fully Porous PEEK Cage

Zavation Medical Products launched its LABYRINTH™ porous PEEK interbody cage. The device features the first available porous endplates integrated through the full cage.

Zavation has enhanced the benefits of PEEK, such as reduced stress shielding and artifact-free imaging, with improved wettability and surface tension.

In a 21-day in vitro study, the interbody’s proprietary porous structure demonstrated greater pre-osteoblast cell maturation into viable bone cells vs. standard PEEK, porous titanium and standard titanium.
