Xenco Medical launched TraumaGP’s, reportedly the first on-demand trauma surgery delivery app with real-time GPS driver tracking for disposable spinal implant systems. The mobile app is exclusively available to 65 contracted hospitals in the U.S.
Verified users can request emergency delivery of Xenco Medical’s surgery-ready spinal implant systems. Once the order is accepted by a verified sales rep, the app shares the delivery’s transportation status in realtime.
“Allowing hospitals to precisely predict the arrival of emergency deliveries of Xenco Medical’s surgery-ready implant systems, TraumaGPS amplifies the impact our single-use devices have in accelerating the surgical process and optimizing care,” said Xenco Medical CEO, Jason Haider.
Xenco’s disposable plastic surgical rasps and implant inserter were first used in a U.S. spine procedure in 2015. Since then, a comparative strength study found that the company’s plastic lumbar instrument significantly outperformed aluminum metal in maintaining structural integrity. In mid-2017, Xenco announced U.S. expansion of the ASC CerviKit delivery and storage platform for Ambulatory Surgical Center use of its disposable ACDF systems.
