Xenco Medical introduced CancelleX porous titanium lumbar interbodies, reportedly the first injection-molded titanium foam spinal implants to be pre-attached to disposable, composite polymer instruments.
CancelleX implants feature interconnected porosity throughout each implant. Designed to promote bone apposition and support vascularization, the bio-inspired titanium foam devices feature high compressive strength. The implants are sterile-packaged.
With the single-use, composite polymer instrument and titanium foam implants locked together in each sterile package, the systems are designed to increase efficiency in the O.R. and eliminate internal logistics associated with the autoclave process.
“Optimized for energy absorption and bone in-growth, the interconnected network of pores that permeate each CancelleX porous titanium implant serves to achieve bone-like mechanical properties,” said Xenco Medical Founder and CEO Jason Haider.
