Viseon’s First Clinical Use of Voyant Lateral System

Viseon announced the first clinical use of Voyant Lateral visualization technology to support real-time imaging during a minimally invasive lateral lumbar procedure.

Viseon is a single-use, disposable alternative to surgical microscopes, endoscopes and loupes for use in posterior and lateral access MIS spine procedures. It projects the operative field onto a flat panel display within the O.R. and to remote locations to involve the entire O.R. staff, while offering training opportunities as well.

Limited launch is slated for 1Q20, with full market release in 2H20.

Pete Davis, Viseon Chief Operating Officer, said, “This low-profile device can accommodate existing surgical instruments and techniques and does not obstruct the operative field. The imager has surgeon-controlled focus and digital image manipulation features that provide the user with visualization of the surgical field never before available.”
