Treace Medical Concepts reported 4Q21 orthopedic sales of $33.4 million, +38.7% vs. 4Q20. For the full year, the company generated $94.4 million in orthopedic sales, +64.6% vs. the year prior.
Bolstering its direct salesforce proved a key driver of the company’s growth. According to Treace’s metrics, direct reps penetrate markets faster, generate higher surgeon utilization and sell at higher blended ASPs compared to indirect agencies.
The company increased its number of active surgeons to 1,783 by the end of the fourth quarter, a +40% year-over-year increase. Utilization among those surgeons increased 13% during that same period.

The company expects 2022 orthopedic sales between $125 million and $130 million, representing growth between +32% and +38%.
