The Orthopaedic Implant Company (OIC) launched its Intramedullary (IM) Hip Nail System, comprising short and long nails with a pre-loaded cannulated set screw, 10.5mm lag screws and 5.0mm cross-lock screws. The system features a full carbon-fiber targeter to support unobstructed views under fluoroscopy.
The OIC IM Nail received FDA 510(k) clearance in July 2015.
OIC launched in 2010 with an intention to manufacture high-quality orthopaedic implants at 50%-60% of average market cost of premium implants. Its portfolio includes:
A low-cost pedicle screw system
A clavicle plate
A distal radius plate
A proximal humerus plate
And a variety of anatomic lower extremity and straight plates
