SurGenTec completed initial clinical launch of the GraftGun bone graft delivery system combined with ViBone Viable Bone Matrix prefilled tubes. While this early evaluation of the combined products was focused on minimally invasive spine procedures, the product has also been used in tibial plateau fractures, total joint revisions and Charcot joint procedures.
In 3Q18, the company partnered with Aziyo Biologics, provider of ViBone, to co-market the system for use in orthopaedic and spine procedures. The companies now plan to expand promotion and use of the delivery system in more U.S. regions.
GraftGun supports universal, quick and accurate bone graft delivery to a surgical site without use of a traditional funnel. Its patented, controlled release method is designed to dispense the product with enough pressure to easily fill any bone void during bone graft surgery.
