Study Results: BandGrip Skin Closure Device

Studies indicate that the BandGrip micro-anchor skin closure device is more than five times faster in closing orthopedic incisions vs. traditional sutures. This finding could yield fewer infections following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, basic arthroscopy and general incisions.

BandGrip is a 3.5″ x 1.5″ bandage that offers a minimally invasive skin closure that doesn’t require needles or staples. Its design allows a variety of healthcare professionals to apply and remove the bandage during incision management. BandGrip uses minimally-invasive micro-anchors that gently and securely grip the top layer of skin, while not piercing it, to pull skin edges together.
