Spine Wave will commence full launch of the Velocity® P Expandable Interbody Device system in mid-November, with the arrival of commercial-scale inventory quantities.
Velocity P Device plus the original StaXx® platform and Leva® Interbody Device comprise Spine Wave’s portfolio of expandable implants. Since 2008, >50,000 Spine Wave expandable devices have been implanted.
The implant’s low profile allows for a less invasive surgical approach that may result in less nerve root retraction and bone resection. Its load-bearing core is made from PEEK; a titanium shell encompasses the implant to supplement strength, and a plasma-sprayed titanium coating provides surface texture and endplate interface.
