Spine Wave commenced full U.S. market launch of the True Position® Pivoting Spacer.
In 1Q16, the company acquired rights to the system from Atlas Spine, with whom it plans to collaborate on future pivoting spacer technologies.
True Position is implanted via the transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion approach, and features Center Pivot Point Technology to support accurate insertion and positioning. The platform includes True Position XL, designed for posterior procedures with a footprint more comparable to that of lateral and anterior devices.
Spine Wave expects to launch six additional major products over the next 12 to 18 months, supported by a recent US $11MM round of financing.
